Default Telescopic steering column

Has anyone figured out how to make a 2nd gen steering column telescopic or just me. Just curious.

The 2.5 (2011+) has a telescoping steering wheel. The swap should be very straightforward, but I'm not sure if it's worth the cost and effort. Here's a complete telescoping column for $150: XB Scion 2014 Steering Column 3543 | eBay

Yes it does and for that price I would not have done it what I did was pulled the upper part of a 2010 corolla the part that mounts the multi switch and steering wheel. slide the xb part off and put the corolla on. Remounted ignition switch, multi switch, steering wheel, airbag, plastic. It cost me $50 at a wreaking yard and 45 minutes of my time. I even found corolla columns on eBay for $75 with free shipping.

I'm definitely interested in giving this a shot - can you help point out the part you're talking about? I've been looking at diagrams of the 2010 corolla and I can't see what part would swap.

I am sorry but for some reason this site wont let me upload pic's but I will explain the best I can if you tear down the steering column by removing the airbag, steering wheel, multifunction switch, the two straps that hold the wiring harness. remove the two 12mm nut at the top part of the column tilt down and slide it of and then replace with the same peace from a corolla. you will have to remove ignition switch and install on the corolla column.

found this on the net this is the part you wont to replace.

To post pictures you need to upload them to a different sight and link them. I use Photobucket, but there are many that will work
