You got me there Lads!!
The story about me buying a Gen2 is pretty unusual...
I was driving an 06 1/2 Gen1 right? So 3 Saturdays ago we had to go to the VW Dealer to pick my wife's Beetle conv up from service...

So right, her car was ready at 4:30pm, it was 2:30 so on the way there I said "Lets go and look at the new Toaster across the road" so we drove into the Toyota dealership and there was my friend who is a salesman there...they had 4 gen2's...a Cherry one, two light blue's and (my) black one...
So I asked him for the Keys to one, I drove it, came back and said "I'll take the Black one"....

We did the Paperwork, I told them I was gonna pick my wife's Car up and I'll be back, in the meanwhile they prepped the BSP one, I hopped in and drove it home...put it in the Garage and that was it...

Now here's the other part...the next day we decided to go out for a drive, My wife opened the Glove Box and from the Window sticker that was in there started reading out all the extra's it had such as overhead console, alloy wheels, lighted door Sills and TRD Muffler...

It sounded better than the OTHER one I test drove which had the normal exhaust...

So yeah, I bought a Car without knowing what was in it...I'm glad my first post got a good laugh...(seriously).

But back to my OP, only 2hp increase?? So it's just for looks and sound then really?? hmmm....

That's pretty funny man.

Of course I once took my car to the Toyota dealer at 5 PM for a routine oil change after work and when I left at 7PM my wife had a new 4runner, WTF?

Congrats on the new xB and welcome.

So do you have any video posting skillz? There are several of us here who would like to hear the TRD exhaust.

I just brought home my Super White xb2 and my brother had a silver xb2 as well. I have the trd exhaust, he has the stock.

They are pretty close. The TRD is slightly more aggressive when you get on it and it seems to have more backpressure notes (if that makes sense).

I would say this is probably just a cosmetic purchase from just initial impressions.

No wonder why dealers around here have the $12.95 oil change deals
"Sir, it will be $12.95 for the oil change and $34,295 for the SUV, Thanks!
Good thing I change my vehicles oils myself, if not I would probably have a showroom in front of my house

Hey thanks!

It sounds pretty similar to the stock. Is that how it is IRL?
Seems just a touch louder and maybe very slightly deeper??
