Check your grommets and/or weather stripping.

Water leaks SUCK! They are hard to find too sometimes. If you live where there is a lot of leaves from trees or pine needles etc, you need to check your windshield cowl for too much build-up. Sometimes that lets the water build up rather then drain out and it goes into the fresh air intake, and down into the car. Other problems are bad seals on the windshield if it has been replaced, firewall grommets that have power cables run through them being damaged, window & door seals.... lots of places for water to get in.

You did not say if the water was getting in while the car sits still, or when it is being driven in the rain.

The way we pinpoint the source is to pull the carpet, dry everything out, dust the inside with baby poweder or arm & hammer baking soda, then shut the car and run a water hose on it for a while. If there is a leak, it will leave a trail in the powder that you can trace to the source. Works for us. You need to get that carpet out anyway and most likely replace the padding or it's gonna stink really bad after a while. Good luck.

Have you ever had your windshield replaced? If so maybe they didn't seal something completely near the top on that side. Just an idea.
