Default Well... Ive tried everything I can think of.

I installed my mishimoto radiator and for one reason or another my car is stuck in fail safe mode/field service mode.... Which means I can bring it up to about 2500 RPM's so in a real disaster I could try and limp it home. After scanning my car it said that the connection with my TPS: throttle positioning sensor wasnt working right so I changed it along with my new throttle body sadly that was not the problem. I also tried changing the MAF sensor seeing as how the shop manual said that its part of the TPS mapping... didnt work.

Im wondering do our cars have a sensor that tells it if its low on fluids? something that may have caused this? I drained and refilled the radiator fluid and added more trans fluid because I lost some when removing the radiator.

Im pretty much out of Ideas and I was wondering if any of you guys had any ideas as to what the problem could be.

It might be possible that you pinched or cut a wire. Sorry, only thing I can think of.

I was thinking the same thing at first but there are litterally no sensors other then the air bag sensor down by the radiator. Im stumped lol... I hate drive by wire ><

What I was thinking as well.

Stupid question, but did you disconnect the entire battery before starting the work? And are any other codes showing?

Yeah I took both odysseys out and my scanner is saying that the TPS sensor isn't responding to the ECU. Even after I spent 900$ on a new one from toyota.

Im just praying to god its not the ECU.

Hmmmm...never heard of a radiator install frying the ECU. I don't think that's your problem though, worst comes to worse, take your car to Toyota and have them look it over...

If it is still under warranty, they will usually diagnose it for free.

But sometimes they try the 'we aren't allowed to let you leave w/o fixing this by law because this is so dangerous' trick. Seen that a few times.

Have u tried resetting the ecu??

My warranty might as well be in another univers LOL.

Im just really worried about them trying to put my car on a rack. and jacking up my paint or my suspensions.

I feel like im running out of options so I might just have to bite the bullet and take it to the dealer. If they try to pull that its so dangerous thing with me I would just pull in the trailer haha. Extortion is so annoying lol.

^ Worst case scenario and you have to bring it in. Swap the wheels if possible and what I do when I take it in for an alignment is pop off my front bumper and side skirts. Looks like you'd have to pull your rear bumper also.

That will protect anything they can possibly damage.

Take it to a High Performance shop and get a diagnosis- it won't be very much. And its worth it to get out of limp mode.

They have all sorts of lifts for low vehicles- like a scissor lift. I take my car to a HP shop because my bumper is like 2 inches off the ground. The lift has a really long run on it to get gradually up onto it.
