Cool What about exhaust systems?

To begin with, allow me to state I am not a big fan of forums; I find it difficult to search through ancient posts for the information I am seeking.
Moreover, with advances in technology the thoughts and products in old posts are likely obsolete.

That being said, I did search (a bit) throughout the xB2 forums without finding much regarding my questions.

When I first pulled into a friend's place after acquiring my 2012 xB his first comment to me was,
"When you’re ready for an exhaust system, let me know."
I was not interested at the time, but have been considering what changes I might make to my little car.
Aside from mud flaps and window rain guards, I have not changed anything visually on the exterior; seat covers and floor mats are all I’ve changed within. Mechanically I have only done minor upgrades insomuch as a reusable air filter and buying a good quality oil and oil filter when changing.

I am most curious about intake and exhaust at this juncture. I have seen a few posts on cold air intake, but none which have swayed me to change to one.

But what about exhaust systems? I’ve not found very much on them here…

I reach out to you all now.
Please share your knowledge of exhaust systems for our xB2s.
What are the costs of a throaty sounding exhaust on a Scion xB?
Both monetary and fuel economy? How does it effect performance to the better or worse?
Does anyone still come here and read these posts?
imquiring minds what to know…
