What are the first mods I should do to my '15 xb?
I recently bought a '15 xb with 20k miles on it. I am wondering if there are any upgrades I should do to my car and if so, what should I do? Or maintenance in general as well. The things I'd be looking to do would be quality of life upgrades or things that will just help the longevity of the car. I should mention I am located in Minnesota as well in case there are specific things
It came with the spoiler on the back as well as the scion "mud flaps," at least that is what the car history says.
I have put on a stahlbus oil drain valve on.
I have put in ares floor mats.
I plan on putting in a K&N air filter when I go to replace it.
I moved the iPod dock from the center console to the front dash left of the steering wheel.
I have added in a dual charging port next to the shifter.
I have summer tires/rims and winter tires/rims.
It does look like no fluids other than the oil has been changed since it was purchased. So same fluids for the last 7 or 8 years. I plan on getting the transmission, brake, and coolant fluids checked by a professional and telling me if I should do a change or not.
I don't mind the stock head unit, it does everything I need it to. I am fine using my phone for navigation otherwise. The only thing I've noticed with the stock sound is it can sound tinny for some music, and not sure if that would be the speakers or the head unit.

First thing would be basic maintenance....obviously. After that, do whatever you want. These Toyota vehicles are very forgiving when neglected. They are like the bastard child that still wants to prove their worthiness when abused.
One thing I would say is to buy a second set of floor mats for the front occupants so that you can pull one set out when they get wet and place dry floor mats in their place. But this goes for any vehicle. Not just Scion......you don't want moisture in your car. It eventually messes with electronic stuff.

As for quality of life upgrades, first thing that comes to mind is to change the wiper stalk. Factory we have no intermittent wipers but a quick swap with one from a Prius or Matrix will gain you intermittent wipers up front. Won't work for the rear but still better than none at all.
After that is\t's really up to you what you want to do.

Rear sway bar: increases stability and safety! Can't stress enough this mod. Definitely biggest difference for $180.
clazzio seat covers: leather covers, custom made for the xB. Super useful and saves the 20k mile seats.
Wheels: nothing over 18 inch wheels. 19s are cool but you will feel the road most. Stick to 16 through 18s.
My $.02
