Specifically, I'm asking about the bezel around the radio which also has the vents. I've seen it called the radio bezel, air vent something or other but what is the official name? And what's the part number?

Also, where can I find this for a good price?

It doesn't come with the vents or the rings, those are sold sperately.

ahh - you guys rock! thanks so much for the link. i need to order a spare (or 2!) for my in-dash ipad mini project that im working on... before i even get the car! haha

 

Shouldn't be too bad. You could use a magnetic push latch that they use for cabinets and recess the whole iPad in the bezel. When you need to take it out, press hard to pop it out.

instead of removing the stock head unit as they did in the video, i wanted to "recess" my stock head unit (just move it into the dash more) and have the ipad mini mounted in front of it in a way that makes removal of the ipad mini very quick and easy.

 

placed the order for the radio bezel.... now time to buy a dremel >:D
