Default wireLess fogLights

I'm all about cheap but quality projects.. aka ghetto. So I had a hard time installing some Wal*Mart foglights, and attempting to route it thru the firewall. I must say that the mounting worked out just fine, and you couldn't tell that it was a real amateur installation unless you were 3 inches away. Anyway, I am now considering the following (or something similar to be compatible) on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ez-RE...3A1|240%3A1318

Wireless w/ remote would make it great to locate the car at night, and bypass the complex issue(s) of only being able to turn on (factory) fog lights when the low beams are on, not to mention all the clustered wiring. My only setbacks would probably be the quality of the lights themselves, and of the remote control.

Please feel free to offer any feedback or suggestions. Thanks!

If you have an aftermarket alarm, they can most likely wire up a relay so you can activate the lights from that remote.
Get the Viper 5900 like me, and you can hit your lights from a mile away! haha

Also a very great idea! I'm from Honolulu too, and I got an autopage long range alarm. Unfortunately it's been over a year and my warranty's expired. I doubt they'd do it for me without a hefty charge. Nevertheless, genius!

since you have the lights and want to do this why not go this route???

http://www.oznium.com/remote-switch

You only need to add the remote and wont have to go thru the fire wall this way. And if you add anything or are cosidering they also have a 4 channel remote!!

I didnt have the remote start hooked up, as it doesnt get too hot or too cold in hawaii usually... But the lights shouldn't continuously flash while its in remote started mode... Have that checked out perhaps...

Drew, what shop insalled your Autopage?

For me, it had a lot to do with doing a decent job while staying in a very very tight budget (with the economy really pinning me down). So getting something like that ebay item or possibly being able to pick it up at wal*mart would make it fun but not kill my wallet.

The options suggested were pretty awesome, but I'll probably just pick up something cheaper and hope that it'll last pretty long (haha kind of an oxymoron eh..?).

Thanks everyone, I appreciate your kind input. Happy lighting!!
