xB2 owners aren't so bad after all. :)
Today I gave a two thumbs up to a fella that owns a white xB2 and I got a two thumbs up back and we cruised the 57 side to side. There are nice xB2 owners out there after all. Just wanted to share. And to xB2 owners, there are xB1 owners that do like the uniqueness of your vehicles, please don't let other idiots ruin it for the whole community. So if you see a fellow xB'er out there, 2nd gen or 1st, wave! smile! it's a lot better than revving your engine against the 108 hp monster engine that we have. hahahaha.
Thanks for extending the olive branch. I haven't experienced xB2 drivers hating on xB1 guys. It seems to be mostly xB1 drivers hating on the new ride. Which can make xB2 peeps a bit defensive at first if anything. We've got no reason to dislike xB1 guys except for unprovoked attacks. The fact so many of you bought the xB1 led to the success of Scion in the first place, allowing it to thrive and evolve into the xB2.
In fact, if the xB1 hadn't be so successful they might've named it's replacement the xE, which ironically would've made a lot of the haters from Gen1 happier and eliminated a lot of the animosity.
Frankly I kind of wished they would've changed the name myself. It still confuses people when I tell them I drive an xB. I'm like "no not the one you're thinking of. it looks totally different".
Anyway, I always give a nod to xB1 drivers and wave back if they wave first. Scion solidarity I say.

I'm very glad to see gen 1 and gen 2 owners getting along like they should.
I haven't spent any time on other model specific forums but I really doubt people who drive cars that have changed many times over the years have the animosity the XB drivers have right now.
Think about Mustangs, Camaros, Corvettes, GTO, VW Beetles, etc. Does anyone remember the last version of the Nova? I'm surprised the owners of the 60's and 70's Novas didn't burn the factory down when that thing was released.

Wow, more people in my city are buying xB2. Just this morning as I drive to work, I saw one of my neighbor's with a Brand Spankin' new xB2. I guess scion is having a thanksgiving promo or something? It had a bow and and everything. I was going to take a picture but I don't want the person to come out and look at me all weird and stuff. What I like about the xB2? I like how wide it looks. And ofcourse the power.. OOOH the power..haha.

Rather than hit the younger market niche like Scion did with xB1, with the newest xB - is growing in popularity with those who appreciate Toyota quality and realize the huge value in the xB2. This applies to all ages, and the impact of the xB will have much more impact I believe now that more people in varied classes realize the vehicle's potential. This is how the mini-truck craze of the 80s started. All it took was for gasoline to get expensive. Now that there are no "mini" trucks left to be purchased new, it only makes sense that the gauntlet is handed to another class of vehicle with more room for passengers and cargo - much like a mini-truck did for people 20 years ago.
