I want to put a Yakima roof rack on my new 2011. I want to put the permanent "track" screwed into roof. I want to screw it next to the inside channel. It looks a lot cleaner and it would be adjustable. Has anyone had any experience screwing these down (plusnuts)? anything to look out for? thanks.

 

nope I use the regular version on mine...but this time I added a paint protection sticker under it to avoid the scratches.

When ever you do figure it out, let me know though..I'd be interested in seeing how it works...
