OK! so I was on youtube lookin up some 05 Corolla XRS videos, dont ask me why but i wanted one back them.. So some random 09 XRS video comes in to play. I look at the comments and they were talking about the engine on how i changed to the "crappy 2.4"

One of the kids posted this and I laughed and called every one i knew on my phone to share



"Dude, I own an 09 XRS and that thing makes 158HP. The tC and xB makes 164HP because it has a TRD supercharger.

Seriously, I wish TRD design a similar kit for my Corolla :/ "


Yes that kid just said we have superchargers for a whole 6 more HP...

On paper, i thought the same thing (crappy motor). I had a '05 xrs and, on paper, loved it so much more that I wrote off ever buying a xB. After i drove the xb, i realized, for daily driving, it was the way to go. The 2ZZ-GE is great performance/mpg but not so fun to daily drive.
