i had the same issue. i check and all bolts were fine. i took the bushing out and lubed them (something i failed to do in the first place) and its never made the noise again

My sway bar makes horrible noises....sounds like thunder. I know that the bolts are 100% tight. I think I might just take it out for good

 

I know this sound weird, when I had the TRD rear sway bar installed last year it needed tightened up a couple of months later, that fixed the problem. This year it started all over again with a sound that I thought I had heard before.

Ended up being the rear hatch shock. They snap on to ball joints so the are easy to get on and off. Dealer took the passenger one off, since that was the side that was making all the banging noises while driving and gave it a test drive.

That fixed it for me. They ordered two new rear hatch shocks and installed them at no charge since it was under warranty.
