CUSCO Japan coilovers sneak peak!!!
Go_HIN,
Would you happen to know the spring rates of these coilovers? Is the ride more comfortable or more bone jarring of a typical coilover? I'm more interested for me and my passengers to drink our Starbucks in the car versus going out on a late night canyon run...

I'd have to say its the perfect medium. It's not so soft where you get the floaty effect, its rather tight and rebounds very nice. Its kinda weird actually, its comfortable but I feel good with cornering. It still feels like I dont lose too much suspension stroke. On bumpy roads you'll definitely feel most of the bumps. Its hard to say, if you're around SoCal I'd be more than happy to give you a ride. I'm 100% happy with the Coilovers, its my most favorite mod on the car until I get brakes. I'm pretty sure the stock pillow mounts have alot to do with keeping the car quiet and comfortable.
On my Lexus I ran TEIN CS's on them before my APEX'i coilovers and the spring rate on those were 8/6kg. With that being said, I'm very happy w/ both ride similar.

I would also love to know the price these are projected to sell at. I keep putting off lowering my car because i want the lowest i can go withoout rubbing with the 20in rims i have sitting in my garage. Any idea when these are going to be released? Hell I'd even be down for a ride along, beers on me.

I'm sure Ksport by now has really progressed their quality and craftsmanship, but I for one will stick with CUSCO's original OG R&D. The Ksport bash threads on the 240sx forums and Zilvia scare me. I do love their Orange though.... and at those prices, really tough to hate on em' especially if all you use them for is to lower your vehicle.
The OEM hats were re-used for our application, i'm nto sure if the production will come w/ new top hats or re-use the OE ones but I'm going to lean towards re-using the OE's since it doesn't really help or hurt the setup at all and to attempt to keep costs low for the Scion market.

Stance, Cusco, Racing Gear, Buddy Club, JIC, that ____ is nice, and sadly its barely more expensive but everyone loves the cheap ____.
Definitely will NOT be in the 2k range. I've been stressing on the scion economy and the price range to even begin working on this. They understand to get these products into the Scion market's hands we need to keep the costs competitive to the other brands currently out. The allowable corners have been cut to keep these costs down but since this is all Cusco unique valving and internal items we still expect it to be a slightly higher manufacturing costs, so we'll see.
Again we'll see, they informed us that any given day now they'll have a solid price for us. I will update everyone immediately once I'm given notice.

Oh btw.... today I met up with Andy and Quin at Aerodyne and they informed us that more Cusco products may be coming out real soon for the gen 2 xB here soon. With our suspension coming out of stock so 'lacking' there is so much room for improvement, therefore Cusco should be able to offer more than just the coilovers. Not exactly sure what they'll be offering but Cusco Japan is making another trip here next week so we'll update everyone as info flows thru.
