Default Cut bump stops for TRD springs install?

Sorry for the newbie question, but I've been through all the threads, and can't find an answer to this simple question...
Do you need to cut the bump stops when installing TRD springs? On the DF210 and NF210 threads, I've read that you do, but can't find similar info for the TRDs. The ASE Tech notes don't mention it. Please advise. Thanks.

I didn't do it on my NF210's and never had a problem. I figure as thorough as the TRD instructions are, they didn't mention cutting them, so it didn't matter (since the TRD and NF drop is the same up front).

I did cut them with my DF210's but that's irrelivant to the thread.

I'm sure you'll be fine if you don't cut them.

The TRD drop is pretty mild so you can easily get away without cutting your bump stops.

Since the springs are shorter than stock springs, the struts are going to be compressed slightly more so ideally you cut the length of drop off of the bump stop so you retain 100% suspension travel.

But since the drop is pretty mild and the spring rate is increased, you'll hit bump stops pretty much the same amount as you would on stock suspension, that is to say, if you drive thoughtfully as you should, there'll be no problems.

how much of a bump stop should i cut if i have either ebiac sportline or the tanabe df210?
also would it lower the car a little more?
the 2 questions also reffer to stock and trd shocks. i was looking into a good setup for my rs5.0 for now coz i'm waiting for better coilovers. below is my options still not sure what to go with. any feedback will be much appreciate. at first i was thinking of getting the ksport coilover but a few of my friends dont recommend that due to bad experience but i'm still open mind

1. trd shocks pair with either ebiac sportlines or the pro kit
2. trd shocks with tanabe nf210
3. trd shocks with hotchkis
4. trd shocks with trd springs

also with the 4 different setups, which would give me the lowest drop
thanx in advance

Thanks. They come in a few days, and I'm not willing to spend the $500 the dealer quoted me for install. My mechanic will probably do it for $100. Peace.

I have the NF-210's and i did not Cut the Bump Stop's. And a friend of mine just put the TRD's in his Gold Rush xB2 and left the bump stop's alone. i say just leave them alone Just my 2 Cents.

Thanks for the info guys. Just installed them today. Looks great. Not as much drop as I thought, but the ride has smoothed out considerably. They should have put these on all of the xBs instead of charging us for them. No negatives in ride quality, only improvements. In fact, its much more comfortable than stock. I'd recommend these to anyone. $120 install, one hour. $210 on eBay, so $330 well spent.
