Cutting TRD springs
I am planning on cutting my 2-year old TRD springs to get an even lower stance from the 1" drop. Trying to drop an extra inch. Has anyone done this before? I would appreciate any input.

Not to mention the fact that you'll sound like a trampoline or an old squeaky spring mattress going over bumps. Nothing says "I'm cheap" than hearing squeaking like that, I saw a Bimmer on campus the other day, it was squeaking. I instantly knew he cut his stock springs to make it lower.
do you think he gets the point yet that it is a bad idea?
funny, one day driving down the road, i saw a lowered honda civic coupe, and every time he hit a bump, the rear end kept going up and down for like 10 seconds. that car must handle like $h!t.

Find a used set of DF210's or Hotchkis springs, and then sell the TRD's.
Cost will be close to a wash, and you'll get the drop you want without playing with the safety of your suspension.

You're contradicting yourself here to people who don't believe in what you did in the first place. Cutting springs = fail. There is no other way to say it and nothing else really needs to be said.
i done it on hondas, audis, and 2 tcs ride is really good but they r to soft. with that i mean that the ride is great but i cant have more than 2 people on the car and i have to be really carefull on holes and bumps cuse can easily hit the exhaust, to me if u doid right u will be fine, but just for looks if u just want better handling u have to get new springs. if u dont believe me, i can sent u the pics of the springs on one of my tcs, they r stock ones cut and looks great, i can show u where the cut is so u know where i cut them
I did just to see how it looks and rides. I took like 2 coils off and man it looks nice and rides smooth as ____ no heavy bounces or anything. But I am going to get better springs and coilovers for handling wise LOL!!!
