Default Ease of rear-spring install?

Hey guys, here is the deal...

I will probably buy NF210's in the next few weeks or so, once winter starts to break, somewhat. I contacted my dealer and they can install them for 300, or 150 for 2. I figure, I would install the rear's (look pretty easy) and have them install the front. All said and done, installed, would cost me $373, including tax, install, etc...

No alignment though... But I would probably get that done a few weeks after once they settle.

I figure this is best way to go, instead of paying 399 for TRD's... I think the NF would give a better ride and slightly better drop.

So for those who have done these installs themselves, to install the rear springs, are they easy to do? Lift up the back of the car, remove the shock, remove the spring, swap the spring, rebolt the shock? Is it that easy, or do I need spring compressors and stuff for the rear? I don't believe so, but want to make sure.

Along with these springs I would install TRD sway bar as well once the redesign is out.

So what do you think about this and how easy would it be?

The NF-210's are great springs def will love them!!

TRD's are nice but no wear near the NF-210's these springs just blow the TRD's away.

All other TRD parts are awsome, i have the TRD intake, TRD Strut Bar and TRD sway bar still wondering if i can trade mine for the new TRD Sway ..Hmmmm

The rear took me about 20min's total.

1.Jack up rear
2.Remove lower shock bolts on both side's
3.Spring tray will fall down and springs will slip right out.
4.Place New springs in factory location of stock springs.
5.Push the tray back up and put lower shock bolt back .
6.check to make sure all is looking good and shocks are bolted back down.
7. Lowering car and all done.

I did not notice the drop at first, After i took it around the block and got back out you can most def see a big difference in height.

i did the front also little harder takes about an 1HR.

Also i still have not gotten a wheel alignment and i have no uneven tire wear.

Hope this help's

Below is a Pic of my ride on NF-210's and stock wheels. They have been on for about little less than a year and love them .

Sounds great man, yeah, I will most likely just let the dealer do the front... The rear did look easy though.

The cheapest price, shipped, I found ont he NF210's are 212$... Any lower anywhere?

If they have them in stock, and that's the complete price including shipping, place your order now.

You might try posting on your local regional forum for an install recommendation, or at www.ohioscions.com to see if you can get a good cheap local referral. I paid a local scion specialist close to my area who quotes $150 for the complete front & rear install.

Ordered them up... $189 shipped off Ptuning.com with the ptscion discount code (5% off).

Can't wait to install them in a few weeks when it gets warmer! Probably sometime in march when I get the new TRD sway. w00t!
