Default flipping top hats for a gen 2 bagged setup?

Has anyone done this to get more low? I can't find any threads that really go into a how to on what to do to get this done and get more low, I just know if you flip the top hats you can get more low in the front.

any help would be appreciated.

I'd be afraid of doing so because I think the bag would end up sitting on the strut tower. You don't want that. Look at the spherical bearing top hats that Randode has. They're a little spendy, but they'll get you lower. Could even hit up KSport for their adjustable pillowball mounts. I'm just not sure if the stock strut will fit the ID of their bearing.

If I left part of the bump stops in it shouldnt sit on the strut tower though, or at least I wouldnt think it would. Maybe someone who has done this could give me some insight?

also, I was looking at those from Randode, they're pretty pricey IMO but that might be an option.

They are very pricey, and I don't know why. Spherical bearings with cups aren't really that expensive. If you could get a hold of someone with a waterjet or CNC plasma table, you could get some stuff cut for yourself.

I got the kit from 2zero6 factory. has the Tokico front struts with AccuAir bags all around. The rears are a bit higher than fronts, which Im going to cut the rear mounts or get new ones to go lower in the rear.

I still need to cut the bump stops out of the front, but I haven't been able to get a straight answer from anyone running the kit as to whether or not the fronts need bump stops. If I get rid of them I'll be able to drop the front at least another half inch if not more.

do you have the easy street kit or the same kit I have? Im just worried about the air bag hitting the strut tower/top hat and busting the bag.

thanks Dragit, my setup is mount, bag, mount bump stop, bearing. so I'll try to get time this weekend to cut the bump stops out and that will most likely bring me to where I want to be.

churroz, yeah here you go man. It's an awesome kit, not a single bad part or part missing.

and here is a pic of the front strut setup, kinda crappy pic:

i dont know whether to go with this kit, or have a set of front struts modified to get the lowest. I talked to guy at a custom fab shop and he said he has done a couple sets of front struts and his rear mounts. I have seen one car he did with 20s and its pretty low. Well, it will be couple months or at least til the wife goes back to work.

Id love some custom front struts for max low, but this is good for now. Im sure once I get rid of the bump stops they'll be much lower.

I bought this same kit and had the fronts re~worked, so, when I get it installed I think I will be sitting on the nuts... Hoping

its awesome. I ride about 60 in the fronts and 20 in the back and its awesome. not super low while riding, but I can turn and its a comfy ride so I don't care.
