Front Suspension Noise..
Hey group,
Been wrenching on a friend’s 2014 xB. Replaced K-Member, Passenger CV axle, front cross member, radiator frame and cooling fan assembly. After road test I hear some noise up front.
I torqued everything down again but am still hearing a rattle. I plan to check everything again to see if I missed something. It drives normally, doesn’t pull or seem unusual on the road.
Once I get this rattle figured out the job will be almost complete.
Should the suspension be “unweighted “ to accurately torque? Or should it be on the ground and then torqued?
Any insight would be appreciated

We have had clunking on our xB for a long time. Usually when going from Reverse to forward.
I suspect a lot of it is just the rubber joints all over, but there is also noise generated from the disc pads clunking in the calipers.
But as long as the brake pads are loose, it means they are not wearing the discs down so we just live with the noise.
