Default Gap on top hat

Lowered my car today on eibach sportlines. After bolting down everything and putting the car back down on the ground I did notice the metal flat part on the top hat had a gap, is this normal? Btw cars rides normal no funny noises.

Everything was replaced correctly I re did it 3 times and gap still appeared. I checked out my friends xb and his has a gap also, so I figure its normal. Drove from Vegas to LA and back this past weekend with no issues.
