Default Getting the right amount of drop?

I already own wheels&tires but want to drop it. How do I choose the right springs that will bolt in with no more than rolling the fenders and alignment. What are the area's I need to measure. And do the spring companies give compressed diameters of the springs so we know if the tires will clear. Are their drop measurements accurate so I can tell if the fenders will hit.
