Sorry to break it to you, but you are NOT the first xB2 with air ride. Someone on VIPStyleCars beat you months before.

He didn't say his was the 1st, he said "They made my car their 1st one ever on air ride!"

Nor did I ever claim to be the first on air ride....

Anyways, I'll have install pics probably today. I've been busy the past few days moving.

Here are a few pictures I just took of the install. Ignore the blue and gray wiring on the right, that is for my audio, not the air ride:

this makes me very happy! I still have tons of room to install my stereo!!! all under the mat. I do have some questions though. is every thing mounted (screwed in) the the sheetmetal. If so I would get some undercoating asap. also how loud is the compressor mounted there? any weird vibrations? what model compressor? Any issues with the wheels hitting wells or fenders when laid out? sorry for all the questions Im still learning about air...
thanks

No worries about rusting. everything tucks fine and doesn't rub anywhere. Like I said, I can drive with it dropped all the way. Compressor is on some rubber pieces, so it isn't very loud. If you have the radio on even low volume, you can't hear the compressor.

nice. Im looking at all different tanks and compressors. Which one do you have? Im assuming 380 or 480. I cant decide if I need 1 or 2... are you thinking about adding a water seperator? Im in chicago and with the weather changes I think its a good idea... keep the info coming I cant wait for a price on this kit.

Id love to go lower but I like the safety of being able to still roll with the bags layed out.
I cant wait either.

rims are 19"x8.5" with a +40 offset. If you go smaller in overall diameter of wheel/tires it probably wouldn't lay out, since losing 4" of height is hard to do. Most vehicles (sans trucks) won't lay out without a body kit on them.
I really hope you're talking abou laying the body of a truck on the ground! With drop spindles and a notch in the rear just about every truck is going to lay frame. Now if you meant body to lay on the ground then you would have to body drop it, not put a body kit on it. You would definately need to get smacked for that. Back on topic that's a pretty good beginner set up.

That's why I said most vehicles won't lay frame (except trucks)....

i know for a fact

i had a 96 accord that layed what i thought was the 'frame'.... turns out it was the tranny... a new tranny pan and 4 new bell housing bolts later i learned it wasn't too cool. but it did scrape.

improper install most likely to blame
