What springs to get?
I'm thinking of getting springs but dont really know what to go with.
I really like the look of the DFs drop but i'm afraid its too much and i'll need a camber kit and other add-ons which i cant afford right now. Oh, and living in Mass i have to think about the crappy roads and winter driving.
Randodes look good too.
Eibachs are about $193+shipping and less of a drop,
and I cant get the TRDs from a friend at a dealership for $200
please help
confused with the choices

I would wait it out a couple more weeks like I am doing. Some people are going to have some reviews of the DF210's up soon.
Randodes kit looks good, but I wouldnt put something like suspension on the car that wasnt made for it.

IMO you first have to decide whether you want a 1-2" drop or a 2-3" drop. Since I live on the east coast and my car is my daily driver I went with a 1-2" drop with TRD but if the Eibach Pro kit had been available at the time and cost less, I would have gone with those instead. It wasn't easy to decide between a good looking 1-2" drop and a great looking 2-3" drop but in the end, practicality won out over aesthetics.
After you decide on the amount of drop, I really don't think there's much difference between reputable brand names although I'd prefer to run springs made specifically for my car.

FWIW, I'm happy with the TRDs. I've a;ready scraped the front end a few times on driveways and can't open my doors next to a curb so I'm glad I didn't drop it any lower even though it would look great.
Do you plan on driving in any snow? I'd hate to try driving through more than 2" of snow with a 2-3" drop...

My DF210's will be here on Friday, to be installed by yours truly on Saturday, and I should be able to give all y'all a review, as well as some photos by Sunday.
So for review:
Delivered - Friday
Installed - Saturday
Review plus pics - Sunday
I live in the Detroit metro area, where potholes eat rims and small children, so hopefully this drop isn't as hairbrained as I am thinking it is at this point. My XB2 is a semi-daily driver, but will be garaged during the harsh winter weather.

That looks great ScionFred.
It's weird how much difference there is between different people's xB's with the TRD springs. Some (like ScionFred's) look to have much less wheel gap than others with the TRD's. Of course there's a lot playing into that, pic angles, whether or not the springs have settled, etc. Still, usually pics of different cars with the same springs usually look pretty much the same drop wise. Maybe I'm just loosing my mind.
I'm hoping someone gets the Tanabe NF's and posts pics. The drop is almost the same as the TRD's, but it will be interesting to see if there's a noticable difference.

Thanks MikeInABox. At first I didn't really expect the springs to settle very much but they have. The car is noticeably lower now than it was when I first installed the springs. IMO that might explain why different XB2s look lower than others on TRD. Most people tend to post pics right after the install.
