Default XB Rear Shocks

Does anyone know if the gen2 rear stock shocks are gas charged or oil filled? If someone knows off hand that would save me from checking out myself.. My thinking is if they are gas charged it might be adding to the harshness of the ride... there are a few places that can design custom valved shocks that are oil filled ... I had some made for my VW a while back and it really made a difference to the ride quality..

XB2 rear shocks are oil filled and gas charged. All dampers are oil filled because it is the oil that provides the compression and rebound damping. Most are also gas charged to keep the oil from foaming.

Ok ..maybe I should have worded it differently.. Are the XB shocks twin tube oil filled or Mono tube gas charged? A twin tube shock can be compressed easily and will stay in the position where you compressed it to ... a mono tube gas charged shock will always try to stay extended after it is compressed.
Do you know which one the XB uses? I guess I could disconnect mine to find out

Twin tube shocks are cheaper to make than mono tube so I'm 99% certain that we have twin tube shocks. I know the struts are twin tube. AFAIK the oem shocks are the softest available. The only alternatives are Tokico and TRD which are both firmer.
