Default xb stock springs, what s the largest tires on 19inch trds

Hello, I have been searching for this but unable to find the right anwser, I bought an 08 xb with the trd springs and the 19inch trd rims. I have not been happy with the ride, I like the look of the rims and I'm not really that into lowered cars, so I was thinnking about putting a set of stock springs back on the xb and then seeing if I could install larger tires. Any ideas on the size that would fit using the 19 inch trd rims and stock springs would be helpful. thank you in advance for any help.

19" tires would be the largest tire you can put on your 19" TRD rims. if you're searching for the widest? then please post the width of the TRD wheels. if its an 8.5 which I'm assuming then a 255 would probably be what you're looking for if you wan the widest. Pending on the tire brands a 265 can work.

most people with 8.5 inch wheel would normally run 225. I'm running stretched and I have a 245 on a 10" rear, I can get as low as 225 or even 215 if I wanted to but thats too much of a stretch for me and not needed. 19x8 or 19x8.5 go w/ a 225. Standard size and should cost less.

go with a 40 if you're on stock suspension, it'll still look decent.

bigjoe, keep in mind that 235/40-19 tires are limited in available options, and starting at about $265 they're expensive. You might want to go with 225/40 tires on the 19x8 wheels. You'll still get about 10% more sidewall height than the 235/35's you're currently on, and Hankook, Kumho and Nitto tires can be found in the $143-$185 range.

I hear good things for the Hankook tires in the lower end tires. I was actually almost about to get Federal's but at the last minute I realized I would regret it for a savings of a few hundred..... so I went and purchased Toyo T1R's for my Lexus. My xB is on Toyo Proxes 4, and couldn't be more happier! its quite perfect for our driving and comfort needs, but is more expensive then the afore mentioned.

225/40/19 is what i run also, that is the same size for the infiniti g35 as well.....around $150 each tire for kumho/hankook tires.....

225/40 wouldn't be enough of a difference in size to really matter. It's almost...well, I guess it would be a minus-0, not a plus-0 size....using the "plus 10, minus 5" sizing method. 245/40 would be a considerable change in size, and would possibly fit alright.

There is always going to be a trade-off when it comes to aesthetics and comfort. Ideally, you should go down in wheel size to get more sidewall because you'll probably lose some performance (power/fuel economy) going to a 19" tire that'll be worth your while.

In short, if you're serious about comfort, sell the 19's and drop to a 17 or 18 with an H-rated tire so you don't have a really stiff sidewall.

^^ Best advise, I just didn't go there because it sounds like he wants to keep the TRD wheels.

Dropping down to 18's with 235/40 tires will give almost 1/2" additional sidewall height, or 225/45 tires will give an additional 3/4" of sidewall height.
