Default 17 Wheels?

Has someone fitted 17 x 8 wheels on the XB2? I want the Axis look but with 17 inch wheels. Probably I will have to lower it 1 inch with the TRD springs. I want to balance looks, comfort, not bending a wheel in every pothole, and tire cost in the long run (and maybe towing a motorcycle once a year, I know its not recomended but the RAV4 with the same engine and monocoque frame tows 1,500 lbs). Also whats the widest wheels anyone has fitted all around (not staggered) I want 245/45/17 if they fit.

Haha, interestingly, I was about to throw my Evo rims on the car to see how it looks like. They are 17x8 with 245/45/17 tires on them. I will probably test them out tomorrow night. I'll take pics and let you know...

To be honest, I don't think its wise of you to tow your motorcycle. But I don't know jack squat about wheels so.

Yeah, thats why I asked, my GTO has 245/45/17 so I can probably buy them in bulk, athough I will go through tires A LOT faster with 400hp than with 160

tell me about it... When I was stock, I went thru those Advan's in 10k miles. And those were $250ea. I switched over to RT-615's, but it's not that much better ever since I put in the new turbo....

I figure I'll get some tires that are cheap and quiet. It's my wife's car anyways...

I have heard only great things about the General Exclaim UHP, General Tire is owned by Continental and both tires are made in Germany. they are about $81 from Tire Rack, is one of the best kept secrets in tires.

I'll have to check them out. Thanks for the heads up... As for the rim swap last night, I have to admit I got lazy/tired after swapping my DP on my Evo. Those damn bolts were a pain. Anyways, should be able to swap them before Sat. Sorry about that...
