Default 19 inch question ?

Okay time to get some new wheels for my 2011 scion xb . I want 19's with a decent lip . Axis rims/ Concept 1 / TSW . I will not lower it . I think ?????? Would like a stretch tire look. When i go to most tire shops like dis_ount tire they say I can't use these rims due to the offset. So my question what is the biggest lip rim i can use with stock ride hight. Best tire size and make , and do i need to roll the fenders ? Any help would be great .

If you're not going to lower it, you can run darn near any offset and width. Wheel bearings may wear out quickly, but you can probably do it.

Good friend of mine is lowered on DF210's and he's running Axis Super Hiro's in 19x8.5 +35 and 19x9.5 +45 with a 10 spacer (making the effective offset +35). Car's stance is pretty decent, but I feel that it could have more poke and more low.

You never mentioned what model and specs you were looking at.

okay found some wheels. streetdreams wheel site. concept 1 rs-8 . 19x 8.5 38 mm offset on all fours. tires 225/35/19 bit of a stretch . is this a good setup for a 2011 scion xb stock ride hight ? no rubbing ? if i wanted one day could i lower it a small amout ? i know on fwd the rims on the front stick out more than the back . what size spacers would i need to make the back even ? how big would the lip be , i'am thinking 2 inch ? i know there is a member called cionide that knows alot of tech stuff about this. wanna get this ride on the road with new shoes asap . thanks. mang

You'll be perfectly fine stock heighth, or even as low as Tanabe DF210's and beyond.
You could run a 10mm spacer on the rear, but that's all up to you.

CIONIDE does know quite a bit of this. I've been getting into fitting my, and my buddy's, xB's lately. I've been doing a bit of work on both to get them fitted as well as I can.

^^Car I was talking about in my first post.

I'm not sure how large the lips are on the aforementioned wheels. Could be Angelina Jolie, could be Gwyneth Paltrow. They both alright.

19x8.5 +38 on OEM springs are no problem. If you never lower it, then 15mm rear spacers, and 235/35-19 tires are your answer to get everything flushed out, and no rubbing. Personally, I would never leave it on stock springs because the rear end is so jacked up. I would suggest the mild drop that Tanabe NF210 springs add. They ride nice, and even out the ride height of the badly jacked up stock ride height. If you ever plan to add a mild spring drop, then you should go with 225/35-19 tires and 10mm rear spacers so that you don't have any rubbing problems.

Thanks Cionide for the info . How much is the cost for a drop ? Parts etc . I'd like a very mild drop if maye none at all . I'll be going with 225 / 19 / 35 , bit of a strech look. If you read my last post I'am wondering about a good tire . The drop would be 1.0 front / 1.7 rear . Would this be the best drop without rubbing or fender roll ?
