Pics of the new wheels. I don't see lowering springs in the near future due to cost. I got these brand new rims for a great deal, $405. Tires are General Exclaim UHP 225/45ZR17. $80 each at Tirerack.com with a $50 visa gift card, so they really came to $67.50 each.
I think this size is perfect for the 8" wide wheel. No sidewall stretching or excess. Looks perfect. I'm really pleased with this tire and wheel combo.

Nice to see you got your new shoes & socks on; longboardluv pegged it, those look great on Classic Silver.

I know it's several months away, but ask for springs for Christmas/Hannakuh/Kwanza/etc.; the xB just cries out for them.

Definitely recommend springs when you can.

I have the same tires in 235/35/19 and they are excellent. Pretty much as you said you can't beat the price.

What are your plans for winter?
I can't recommend the Exclaim UHP's for winter use though and Tire Rack agrees.
There are plenty of good winter tires you could stick on your stock steelies in the winter. The money you spend provides more safety and makes both sets of tires last longer. I'm heading for my fourth winter from my current winter tires.

Thanks guys. Thanks for the inspiration with the photoshop. I actually like the stock ride height on the front. I like how the spacing looks uniform between the top and sides of the tire with the fender. The rear however is too high. If that were uniform as well, I would never consider lowering.
