Default Staggered 19's now complete :-)

Hey folks,

Just wanted to share that I tried a new combo of sizes and things work REALLY well! I purchased the RPM 505 wheels that are 19x8.5 up front and 19x9.5 in back both with a 38 offset. The tires are the BFG G-force KDW in 235/35 up front and 265/30 in back.

Overall the setup looks great, and there is virtually no rubbing at all (only a hair rub on the rear fender lip when I hit a REAL hard bump like train tracks or open joints on a highway ramp). So I guess my next move is to find someone with a fender lip roller and see what I can get done.

If you would like to check out the pics see below:

Very nicely done!! Great looking wheels... I've always loved the mesh design but the only bad thing is that they are a PITA to clean...

Default tip for keeping the inside of the wheels clean!

Hey guys,

Just wanted to respond to c-dub's post about the mesh wheels being a PITA to clean. I have found that it is VERY easy to keep both the car and the inside of the wheels clean by using the new turtle wax ice wax, It is a clear fluid that you wipe on and it doesnt really dry like a normal wax finish. The wax gives the car a nice shine and when you go for the next wash, mostly everything just sprays right off! I am on my second wash after the coat of wax and even those lovely big ol bugs that hit the hood come right off without scrubbing; I tested this on the wheels (not the lip part, just the inner wheel) and the same spray off the dirt applies! There might be just a few spots where I had to wipe up some mess, but nothing compared to what I normally need to do on a dirty wheel!

Thank for the wheel cleaning tip.
That's one of the few times I've heard positive comments about Turtle ice wax. A little pricey for a Turtle wax product, but I think I'll give that a try.

good idea... I'm glad you found an easy way to clean them. I wish I would have thought of that when I was shopping for wheels for my box for a month or so ago. I ended up with a simple six spokes design...

Don't get me wrong, not a big fan of the ice wax on the body cuz can't really tell if it is dry or not (and actually I don't think it ever does; accidentally left it on the body for more than 24 hrs and drove with it on for a day!) And even when you DO rub it off, the metal still feels slimey; but I guess that is what helps everything spray right off.
