A friend of a friend is selling them, and they happen to be 16"x7" 5x114.3 42mm offest. They were only used for a short time and are in perfect condition.

Volks with the NF springs, and paint the brake calipers red to compliment the red stripe on the wheels.

It is good to have friends of friends with used volks.

Yeah it is. I love the looks of TE37's, I just never expected to own any because of how much they cost new. The red stripe has grown on me, and I think the flat black will look really good on a silver xb.

Yeah, pretty much any forged rim is going to be very very strong, but I know rays/volks have an amazing reputation.

I am really starting to consider the NF210's. How hard is it to remove and paint calipers?

i think painted calipers look tacky. thats just my opinion. only time colored calipers look good is when they come that way. ie brembos on a g35 or something like that

Now I guess I need to decide if I really want to swap the crappy stock tires onto the volks, or if I want to get new tires.

Are you asking if the stock tire will fit the car? Or if the volks will fit the car? Actually, the answer to both should be yes, the volks are 16"x7" 5x114.3 42mm offset.

Yeah they will. They only have 1600 miles so I am very tempted to just swap them over and wait awhile to get new tires, especially since the tpms sensors need to be swapped over. But I also dont like the goodyears, I think they are pretty crappy tires.

Generally, I'd agree with you, but I've seen many people paint their calipers to match a color scheme that looked really good. Somebody else on this forum painted their calipers red and even added "SCION" stickers that looked factory stock and really great. I am hopeful that they will post a link to their thread because I can't find it right now.

It's actually really easy. You just pull the wheels, clean the outside half of the calipers, and paint them with some duplicolor heatproof paint. Job done!
