Default Help! Scion tc 18'' wheels on 2008 xb

I am wanting the 2011 and up TC 18'' wheels for my XB but haven't read anywhere on what they look like without lowering the car a little bit. Does it sit too high with the wheels just bolted on? How does it ride? I don't want to have to lower my XB if i don't have too. Thanks!

If you run 225/40/18's on the wheels then it'll sit just like it sits stock, as that size is the height equivalent of what we run stock. If the wheels come with the original tc tires (225/45/1, then you'll probably sit 3/4 -1 inch higher...

Thanks for the fast response. I have to use 225 45 18 tire because they come with the wheels. I don't mind if it sits a little higher but does it have a noticeable gap between the tire and body of the car? i mean I know a couple inches is normal. Just want to make sure it wont rub or look a little off right when I bolt it. I see pictures on the forums but not sure if the ones with a 2 or 3 inch gap have been lowered or not. I don't mind a little gap.

Hoping to see a picture of the tc 18'' wheels with the stock 225 45 18 toyo tires on the scion without any sort of lowering.

It'll have less of a gap than stock due to the new tire diameter being larger, sort of like when people "donk" their cars but not as obvious as that.

Exactly ^. You will fill the fenders a bit better than stock with the 45 series tires, but just be a little higher from the ground itself. I don't thing it'll look bad, but it looks best lowered IMO. As far as any rubbing, no way. Not even if you lower it slightly. I'm running 205/65/16's on my stock steelies, and I'm lowered with Eibach ProKit springs, and I've NEVER rubbed. Honestly, I think I look stock height just level, thanks to the raise the tires gave me (tires were already on car when I got it, I'm just waiting for them to wear down before I buy new ones and new wheels, at which time I'll go back down to stock diameter but with 18's hopefully)
