Default I have a question about offset and tire size. Please help me

I'm now running a set of 17x8 with +38 offset wheel and 235/45/17 Advan tires both front and rear. I also lowered my car with DF210 springs. My front does rub against the fender/ wheel liner. I want to know that will 225/45/17 will work without rubbing. or 205/50/17 is better. Please help me out and thank you very much for your time.

here is a tire and wheel calculator that i have been using for a long time now, it the best one ive found.
http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp?postId=906

its imprtaint to try and keep the same Tire diameter
put what came stock on the car stock (205/55/16) in the left and put the set up you have on now in the right and you will see what the problems are.

17x9 +35 offset with 225/45/17 tires, dropped on DF's, and he says no rubbing:
