Default Looking at some rims for summer... Need help!

I was most interested in these:

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...=17&vid=011807

I was wondering if this would be a direct "swap" I guess you can say. Size wise and all? Im new to this stuff but just researching for summer if I get money by then.

Also, anyway around the TPMS yet? Will the car eventually learn the sensors are gone? (I plan to use the stock tires for winter, keeping sensors in them).

Appreciate the help!

As far as i can tell, those would fit on the new xb. Ive got the same brand. Good price and looks nice. Im no expert, but im sure somebody on the forums will answer your question better than me.

Those will fit fine.

However, you can get nicer/bigger rims for less money if you don't worry about the brand name.

I got this 18" package for $875 shipped with lugs and rings, mounted and balanced.

They aren't low quality, but they are probably not as well made as your proposed setup, and they are certainly heavier.

Those are the exact wheels I have except I got the 17X8 with 235/45/17's. Look around on here and you can see them on my vehicle.

Saw your pics and really like the wheels!

The name or anything doesn't matter to me, but I was just looking for a 17-18" wheel/tire package, preferably under $1,000 shipped. Also, I prefer gun-metal/black. I still will be scanning wheels and stuff but so far these are the winners.

Also, once you receive the wheels, all you do is swap with your stocks correct? Simple and to the point?

It depends. If the new wheels have exposed lugs, you'll need different lugs. If they have a center cap, then yeah just swap.

I'm glad you like them. They are really nice on person and kind of understated. That is the look I wanted. I got them from Discount Tire Direct for about $950.00 or so. They are just a simple bolt on and they even come with new lugnuts. I don't have the air sensors in them so the light came on fairly quickly. I took them off in November for the winter but i'll be putting them on in a week or two.

I have heard mixed stuff about the computer learning that the TPMS is not there anymore so it will eventually shut off, but others say it is always on.

Which is the truth?

Mine stayed on but I don't even notice it after a day or so.

Either that, or black tape to cover the light on the dash for summer, no black tape for winter.

Nice choice on the wheels - As far as the sensors go you can purchase replacements for the new tire/wheel package. If you choose not to the dash light will stay lit all the time.

Looks like the sensors are still a dealer item at this time.

I thought the tire pressure light would bother me....it doesn't bother me at all...especially since it saved hundreds of dollars!

Well I called my dealer so see how much it would be to swap the TPMS and to mount the new tires and stuff, and it was $106 for all four. That includes swapping the TPMS to the new tires, and mounting them.

Not too shabby, especially since I will have these tires on longer then my others which I plan to use for winter (snow tires).

So for me, it's worth the swap. I'm sure I can get it done cheaper elsewhere, but with the dealership I know i'm "safe" if anything should go wrong.

Now to save up the money by may to get these bad boys...

We carry the sensors, they aren't cheap but we have them. If you are planning on swapping twice a year eventually you'll save some money. Great Choice on the wheels, the weapons would look great on your xB.
