Default New RS 5.0 XB, needs some new shoes...

Hey guys just picked up an RS 5.0, and I really want to get rid of the steelies. I was thinkin of doing some 18's in black with a yellow lip to compliment the exterior color... I have searched a few times but I only found one wheel. I am looking for a 5 spoke design, something that looks good of course. Can you guys help me out? thanks!

and are you willing to paint the rim if it doesn't have a yellow lip. i don't even know if i would suggest yellow to you tho. i'd do gold if you're going for a clost color match

yeah, what's the kind of approach that you're looking for?
sporty?
performance?
VIP?
lowrider?
.... etc ...
there are a TON of black with chrome lip, which you could paint yellow.

but i agree with the suggestion of going gold or bronze because that will match the RS5 a ton better.

I'm in the same situation and saw the Nascar black rim with the gold stripe - if that's the one you were referencing, but since this vehicle already has too much gold imho, these are my two choices:

The way too pricey Enkei RPF1 at $300 each (with center caps which cost extra) in 18" is completely sweet looking:

But I will probably go with these MRS 043s which are only offerend in 17" I believe and are around $110 each:

If you do an 18" wheel, you'll need 235/40/18 tires
If you do a 17" wheel you'll need 225/45/17 tires

I vote for the Axis Black Super Hiro with 10mm Gold pinstripe (also available with 6mm pinstripe, but I think the 10mm would set off the look better. They're 5-spoke 18x8.5 +35 offset and 22.4 lbs., 235/40-18 tires would be great on these. The 35 offset pushes them out to the edge of flush on the front fenders, but I've seen many people run 8.5 wide +35 on the xB2, as long as you don't drop it too low. I'm assuming that with the lip kit on the RS 5.0 you don't plan on dropping it on DF210's or coilovers. Cubanix is running 8.5" wide +35 offset on his fronts with TRD springs, and no rubbing or fender rolling:

They're $290 each from www.buywheelstoday.com

According to your profile, you're running 18x8 Works wheels on your tC... those babies aren't cheap either.

The Axis Circuit 5-spokes are $500 each, I think the Super Hiros are a very fair price for the quality, style and look.

axis wheels anywhere aren't 500 a wheel. if they are thats msrp and NOT the price that people can get them at.

what he's saying is that 300 a wheel is a steal, its not expensive at all.

Wow, get over the fact that you have expensive wheels. The OP asked for other wheels in a 5 spoke design that could give her an idea of what else is out there. Yes super expensive wheels are nice, but not everyone can fork over a few grand for nice wheels.

Sorry man, I misunderstood since you didn't say anything about the Axis wheels looking like a good deal. I see so many people trying to find nice wheels for less than $200 each; and we all know, you get what you pay for.

I still think the Axis Super Hiros might be exactly what the OP is looking for, and while they're not cheap, they're certainly within reach, and not the most expensive.

WOW!
#1) You're the first person I've seen that thought Axis wheels sucked, and was so emphatic about it on top of that.
#2) I was just pointing out that they had some other WAY expensive (and probably overpriced) wheels that listed for $500 M.S.R.P., so the Hiros seemed pretty reasonable.
#3) All I do is try to help people solve their problems, and the Axis Super Hiros seemed to be the perfect solution. I'd be interested in hearing what 07ToOcOoLs thinks, since that is who I'm trying to help out.

Thanks for the suggestion; those may be good wheels, and great for the price, but they don't respond to the OP's request; which is all that I was trying to do.

It's all one Scion love!

IMHO it's downright loco to spend $500 each on a wheel unless you are racing or autocrossing or have a similar need. Plus in the real world you can just plan on standing guard in the parking lots too, even with wheel locks. It wouldn't be the first time someone 'borrowed' a vehicle because the wheels were so, how shall we say, attractive.

There's a reason Toyota created this price point for these vehicles and the OP appears to be a 20 yo female. Budget your money on wheels and get some other cool mods is what I would recommend to both genders.

1. you obviously don't get out of your hole that often, axis wheels are a standard cast wheel, nothing special, they're significantly weaker than their forged counterparts (i.e. the wheels they copy designs off of)
2. oh.... i thought you were implying 500 dollar wheels from axis are good buys
3. as do i but i try not to recommend wheels that i wouldn't personally run and axis are those wheels.
