Not very good at tire size measurements.
My friend is buying new wheels for his box. He is looking at 18x9.5 +25 but needs a tire recommendation. Any way a tire could fit with those and not rub? He is still riding on stock height.
The wheels are also offered in 18x9.5 +38. What do people recommend?

If your friend wants "no rubbing whatsoever" then he should run the 18x9.5 +38 wheels. These will be dead flush in back, and poke out about 1/2" past the outer edge of the fenders in front. I really don't see stock height as an option, so for tire size considerations, I need to know his future lowering plans. Regardless, stretched tires will be necessary; I hope he likes the look.

Okay so lets say he goes with the 18x9.5 +38 wheels. He is not planning on dropping his car until he can see the wheels on his box. But I would guess TRD springs, because he doesn't want to go too low with the roads here in michigan.
How stretched would he have to be? 235/45/18?
