Keeping the thread alive, learned lots of good stuff here.
Also, 52 pages later and didnt see anyone rockin the TSW's I just ordered, woo hoo !

Quick question, Im on a Sportline drop, 18x8 +40 rims on the way. Should I go with a 225/40/18 or give it a slight stretch at 215/45/18 ?

I dont wanna rub, or roll fenders, and might add a 10 or 15mm spacer in the rear eventually.....

You'll be fine with either tire.

Thanks bro, i have a slammed gen1, and im a noob with the gen2, LOL !

On the gen1 we needed a 10mm spacer in the rear to make it flush with the front wheel. Is Gen2 the same or more?

You can't be 'flush' and not roll the fenders. Well, it depends on your suspension. If you want to be as slammed as I'm assuming your gen1 is, you can't be 'flush' without a roll. You can trim the fender lip, I've heard of folks doing this.

Until I know what suspension you're planning on running, I can't recommend any type of spacer.

Just read your other thread. You could run a 10mm spacer in the rear to have an effective offset of +30 with the 18x8 wheel, but I'd wait until you get the wheels and tires on the car. See how it looks and then go from there. However, I'm pretty positive you'd be fine with a 10mm spacer.

I'm gonna be running the same wheel specs on drop, do you have any rubbing issues on dips or with a full car? Fenders rolled? Thanks

Guys with the 15mm spacers, do u need to cut/shave down the old studs to get the wheels to fit? With 10mm is there enough stud left to bolt on the wheels?

I would recommend slip on spacers with extended studs. I'm running 10mm up front and 15mm out back with extended studs.

Al, with my TRD rims and DF210 springs I ran 15mm in the rear and they looked great no roll or anything. I had the Airrex airride installed and had to drop down to 10mm to get it to drop to the rim. Also different wheels but I think same offset,30. Here's a pick.....
Then

Now

Also, I didn't have to cut any bolts but as far as I know they don't make a bolt on 10mm like the 15. I had to put new extended studs which came with my spacers.

You don't have to do anything. However, if you decide to use slip-on spacers, I would certainly 100% install the included extended lug studs.

Thanks for the compliment Al, if you go with 10s I think you will but the 15s I had were available as a bolt on with studs . But if you're staying with springs for now the bolt on ichbans 15mm will work great, easy install.

Yeah i had the 15mm Ichiba on my gen1 and we had to shave down the old studs a bit cause they were pokin past the spacer a bit and not letting us mount the wheel correctly. Had to take 1/4 inch off.

I'll be installing my coilovers next week but here she is as it sits. I'll be doing a re-barrel on the front wheels eventually.
