Default Question on tire light

My wife has an 08 xB. Does anyone know if the tire light has its own bulb in the cluster. I want to remove it and the tire sensors. Put em back in when I sell the car. Thanks

Not sure if it's a bulb or an LED. If it's an LED you'll probably have to tape over it. Why do you want to remove them from the wheels? If you're going to cover/remove the light in the dash, it won't really matter if you keep them in the wheels or not. Especially if you're getting new wheels anyways. Just seems like extra work to remove them from the wheels.

The tire light is so annoying. We get so many complaints from customers all day long. My tire light is on. They don't ever check the pressure. They just bring it in to the dealer. Temp. can set light on too because it lowers the psi. I deal with it all the time at work I don't want to deal with at home too.

I don't like the TPMS. Plus a lot of people don't know that the batteries in the sensors are rated for 10 years. You can't buy just a battery. You have to buy the whole sensor. For over $100 each. No thanks. Just venting alittle.

Haha I just told my wife the other day that it's a waste cause most people probably think something is wrong and take it to the dealer anyways. I don't have sensors in my wheels so the light is on/off all the time.

What I ment was if you remove/disable the light on the dash, there's really no reason to take the sensors out of the wheels (none that I can think of). Because no matter what happens pressure wise, you're not gonna see the light on the dash.

Easiest (and cheapest) solution is to just change the way you interpret what the light means. On my xB it does not indicate a tire pressure problem, it shows that the "cool wheels" are on the car.
