Default Reccomended PSI...

I didn't see a thread on it, so maybe a sticky later.

I'm running low pro yokohama 225-40-18's I'm going to be doing some serious highway driving. NY-ohio and back. So, what you guys reccomend for best wear/mpg. Looks like right now im running around 33 up front 31 rears. And those are "hot temperatures" as in mid day after driving to work.

When i drive now i tend to feel every bump i hit. I'm still running stock suspension and i am aware with low pro tires your are subject to some jolts. So i was fixing to put it up to about 37 (cold) all around and see how that felt for everyday driving.

Also post up ur PSI for your tire size and comments about how it feels and what not. We can get a collective list of recommended aftermarket tire PSI

Always check your tires pressures cold. ALWAYS.
Anyway, I'd recommend something like 35 front 33 rear, and check your tread for uniform wear, adjusting accordingly.

My tire size is different from yours, FroZone, but I generally go by a 5 psi variance from max.

I'm running 235/40/18 and the max PSI load my tires take is 45 PSI. Subsequently, I load mine up to 40 PSI at all times. Jacksonville, FL weather isn't too hot and not too cold. The hottest it gets is 98 degrees and the coldest is probably in the low 20's (depending on the winter).

The variance of 5 PSI allows expansion and contraction as necessary and the ride is still comfortable for 18's.

Run the fronts higher than the rears due to the extra weight of the engine. For long distance trips I run 40# up front, and 36# out back. MPG and ride are great.
