Maybe so. I don't usually consider that since I stopped cross-rotating 10 years ago when a set of 4 half-tread Bridgestones fell apart after changing their rotational direction. It probably doesn't happen very often but I don't see any compelling reason to take the chance.

FWIW, I also gave up on frequent rotation in favor of 'rotate once' or not at all. If you catch it at the right time you can rotate when the fronts are half-worn and then replace all 4 together or never rotate and replace the fronts 2:1 over the rears on most fwd cars. To really get even treadwear on a FWD car requires such frequent rotation that it's usually more cost/time effective to buy new tires more frequently. IMO it's more important to maintain good alignment and inflation pressures.

right now im going with the Goodyear eagle GT. and thats interesting about the rotation technique fred.
