Front Bumper Replacement
I'm trying to find a front bumper for a 2008 Magnetic Gray xD. Had a minor accident, and I think that's all I need to repair it; hood looks untouched. Tried some google searches, but haven't found anything useful except one eBay entry. I couldn't tell exactly because the picture looks like a finished bumper, but it seems that I'd have to paint it.
While I'm waiting on a response from him, does anyone know where else I could get one?
And if I were to have the dealership fix it, how much do you think it would cost me? I'm guessing it would be worth it to just handle it myself. I've looked at some DIY stuff, and I can't imagine it being too difficult.
Is there anything I need to know before going ahead and ordering one?
Finally, if I go for the "PARTS MUST BE SAND AND PAINTED" eBay bumper, how much will that cost me to get it Magnetic Gray Metallic?

check your scion dealer first to find out the price. if you are insured then it would not cost more than 300. having it painted would cost more along with the buy of the bumper, most likely. harder work too
Thanks!
Yeah, that's how I was starting to lean. The guy responded and he said he didn't know what color code the bumper was. The pictures look kinda like the gray, but could also be black. Without anything to compare it to in the lighting, it could go either way. Only $150, but not worth taking the chance and being stuck with a black bumper.
We'll see what insurance says, and then I'll check with the dealer.
How likely is it that a little bump (probably less than 5mph) would mess up braces, alignment, and other stuff that I can't see? If I find a bumper and attempt to do it myself, I'd probably still want a professional to take a look at it, right?

The alignment and everything should be OK.
However, the xD bumper is probably around $220 unpainted and you could probably guess another $300 for prep, paint, and installation.

Darn! I just had my rear bumper cracked by a guy in a Jaguar 2 days ago! I wish it was a black BACK bumper!
I'm going through the same thing now, so good luck to you too! A friend of mine said to check junk yards. It's a stretch, but it could save you a good chunk if you get lucky.
Someone was telling me it's around $80/quart of the 'colormatched' paint.
