i got my kit in yesterday and hooked one side up and it comes on for like 2 sec and then flickers and shuts off. i was told it was because the car is not reading a halogen bulb in the socket. i was wantin to know what the part was i needed to fix this and where i could get it?

are you powering the ballasts off of the stock wiring harness, or are you using direct power from the battery with a relay? when a ballast starts up, it has a spike in voltage to "ignite" the bulb, and shortly afterward, it drops the power back down as less is needed to keep the bulb lit. it sounds like you arent getting enough power to the ballasts. check your ground points and/or switch to using direct power off of the battery with a relay setup if you arent already.

 

You may want to try testing with both bulbs installed as well. It may be that the different voltage requirements for the two different lights may be throwing off the electrical.

 

thanks guys, i found the problem though, it was the bulbs outlet. the company had a batch of h4 bulbs that had the prongs in the wrong spots. so i just had to pop them out and switch them around.
