Hey,

I was thinking of doing something easy, cheap but fun on the front bumper. I saw this and wanted to do something similar http://asset3.cbsistatic.com/cnwk.1d...nxD550x320.jpg
So far, the only thing I can think of that is cheap, malleable and light is foam rubber.
So I’ve found:

- Just a simple black foam with tape
(for non blacks I’d likely plasti dip it black since I’m planning to plasti dip part of the front anyway to give it that EVO look like in the earlier photo link
My gripes with this is:
-lose some aerodynamic flow (barely but still)
-will come off with highway driving
-will accumulate salt in the Winter
-crack because of the cold

 

Or if someone can tell me where to buy that front addition. Looks like it could just be added and glued onto the existing bumper.

 

five axis sema car. so you can't really buy the kit without having them custom make it. and that will be expensive

 

i did the plastidip evo stache on my xD as well, 15k+ mostly highway, not a single thing wrong with it. i do handwash my car, so that may contribute some as well, but as far as i've heard, plastidip has survived alot. just be sure to do a few coats.

 

Do you have Winter and salt to deal with well? How does it hold up Barfalamu?

 

Well I live in Texas, so not sure how it holds up against the cold, but does great with the blistering sun.
