Ever since the day I brought my 08 XD home, I hear a "GROK" or "Tunk" coming from the rear of the car every time I go down the half-inch lip off of my driveway. I have been under the car hundreds of times and cannot for the life of me, find what the sound is being made by. It's pretty loud and annoying when it happens ALMOST EVERY TIME I go down the driveway. Has anyone had any experience with this? The sound SEEMS to be more on the right side than the left, but I cannot tell for sure. It's driving me nuts!

If you have any experience on this, please enlighten me!

it could be something loose in the trunk like the spare tire or spare tire tools that arent correctly in place

 

Thanks, but that's been eliminated long ago. I took out EVERYTHING in the back and with it all taken out, it still makes that sound. I imagine the sound to be like the coil spring is rubbing in the base cup area of the suspension assembly, but that's only my imagination of what is causing the noise.
