I just put a K & N cone filter on my car and my CEL can on, I hope it goes out. Anyone else have this happen?

hmm, i had done a similar setup with an autozone filter, never had a CEL. did you check that the MAF was plugged in all the way if you disconnected it at all? the only possible thing that comes to mind right now is that ive heard having the filter so close to the MAF can trip a CEL because the air is so turbulent when it swirls in from the filter. that is really strange though. head to autozone or something and have the code pulled?

i would try putting the stock air box back on and see if it goes away to isolate the problem to the filter.

just to make sure, its not the "MAN'T REQ'D" light is it?

It reset itself, wife drove around paying bills and it turned off after it relearned the airflow I guess. I was hoping that would happen.
