Default ABS, Brake and VSC lights are on...Help

Today my ABS, VSC and Brake Light went on they went off and then they are on now again. I just was the wondering is there anything I can look into before I take it to the mechanic
and and so if you had these problems before the general cost it will take to repair . I'm not the first owner of this car but I love my Scion

Thanks.

Mine are always on, but that's because of the Greddy E-manage for my turbo kit...wish I could help.

OK, first question: Are all your TPMS sensors in your tires working? I decided it wasn't worth the cost, so I 'disabled' my TPMS (with a piece of electrical tape over the light). A few months later, this exact thing happened to me. Checked my tire pressures, and found that my left rear was down to 10 psi, and that I had picked up a nail. Had the tire plugged, and the lights went out. I guess having TPMS working would've told me sooner, but I really didn't think it was worth the $300 cost to put them on my new aluminum wheels. Now I know that when these 3 lights come on, it means essentially the same thing.
