Question: I have an automatic 08 xD...

Is there ANYWAY possible to change it to a manual and/or somewhat of a manual stick? Not really sure about transmissions, but I do know it will be expensive. Just wondering if it CAN be done... Gracias!!

I work with a mechanic so I would be helping him do the work, or basically just getting the tools for him

 

most likely cost just as much as buying an 08 manual xd. not with it dude lol

 

yes it can be done, but it really isn't worth it, just trade it in for a manual tranmission model and be done with it. it is not a simple drop and swap.

 

not sure for these... but when i did a transmission job on a 240, u had to change the axles as well

This months project car magazine shows them swapping an auto to a manual in a mid 90s civic. It looks like a pita. Just think how much it would cost for parts then multiply it by 3 for labor. You would probably be better off making a lateral trade for a manual XD ( same year), plus it would be alot less headache.

so glad i bought mine with 5spd. i didn't realize how much harder they were to find until after i got mine. every one since that i've seen has been auto..

im with everyone else tho. the job is just too much of a hassle and not worth the cost. it reminds me of people with 4x2 wanting a 4x4. same mess

does anyone have any guess on cost? ive got too much invested as of now to get rid of it and start over. if its in the 3-4k range id like to do it.

 

3-5k sounds about right... or you can just part out in trade in for another. jst sayn lol
