I have a 2009 xD that won't Crank. Did some running, made 3 stops. started it 3 times fine, got home & parked it. Went to move it an hour later and no crank. No power at the starter actuator wire (small purple wire at the starter). The only things I hear are the fuel pump and a weird humming noise coming from the throttle body. The humming noise only starts when the key is turned to engage the starter. Battery is good, new starter, power at main 12v cable at starter, new starter relay, all fuses checked out. Did a continuity test on the neutral safety switch and it passed. Not sure if its the ignition switch (only other thing I can think of), everything works, instruments, lights, radio, etc.

I'm stumped. Anyone have any ideas?

I was wondering if you got your car started. I have a 2009 xB with a very similar issue... I'm not sure what to check next and the only thing I can think of is the ignition switch. If your car is up and running, I would appreciate any input on what you did. Thanks!
