Testing on the long tube header for the Scion Xd is completed. The stock Xd (with home made CAI) produced 123 hp and 121 ft-lb of torque. After replacing the stock exhaust with the long tube header and 2.5-inch mid pipe (no axle back), the power numbers jumped to 134 hp and 134 ft-lbs of torque. At 3000 rpm, the long tube header improved the torque output by 15 ft-lbs! Next we installed the prototype intake manifold. This brought the peak output to 148 hp and 137 ft-lbs. At 6000 rpm, the intake improved power production by 16 hp. For now, check out the dyno results over at yarisworld (Yaris TS section), but I will get someone to post them on this site-I am still having toruble posting photos and graphs (I guess I'm an idiot!). It looks like 150 wheel hp will just take the NST U-pulleys. (We already exceeded 150 wheel hp using a modified version of the intake which won't be made available for sale-small gain at top of rev range but big losses elsewhere). I just had to reach 150 wheel hp while I was testing.
