Slight change of plans...

I received the Nitrous kit today... but I won't be installing it for a while... and perhaps I end it up selling it.

The reason: Why have an extra 50hp for a few seconds when I can have an extra 75hp all the time?

Yelowsub misfurtune has motivated me to start my own FI journey...

Already started piecing the parts... And according to my numbers I can complete a kit with quality parts for under $2K.

I was actually interested in your intercooler and perhaps the piping... but I just ordered one with a set of universal pipes from CXRacing... too bad your guy didn't backed out 2 days earlier!

BTW, what is the size of your cooler? I'm getting a 28x7x2.5 with a set of black universal pipes with silicone couplers... I got all for $160!!!

If you can't find a home for your pipes and decide to let them go for cheap I could pick them up... They probably won't work for the pipe routing I have in mind... but maybe I can save some of them... I'm thinking particulary your the black pipes on your picture could work for me let me know. I'm just not in the position to pay you what you probably paid for them as I already have the pipes I need... is just that those could make some things easier...

Regarding all the other stuff I'm almost done...

I would love your T3 turbo! but I won't put the money down for a turbo right now as I already have a GT2554R that I will use initially. If things work out and I get the FIC to work then I will upgrade to a super 60 like yours or a GT28RS.

I also have the FIC, TC injectors, Tial 38mm wastegate (not a fan of internally wg turbos). I also ordered the manifold already from JGS Precision...
The downpipe would have to be custom.. but I think it should be pretty simple.
So I'm pretty much done with the parts...

I also need a blowoff valve... and you Greddy is awesome but I'm pretty much over my budget for the next couple of weeks... So if you haven't sold it in a couple weeks I'll let you know.

I'm doing this on a budget so I have to take it slow! Probably a couple of months before I'm done.

Wish me luck!!

No need for NOS if I'm boosted... It would be as easy as crank up the boost! As the turbo will be working of the lower end of it's efficiency curve on this car. That means there will be more power available if i wanted.
The turbo will spool pretty quickly also, so no need for nitrous as anti lag device.

The problem is: Would the engine take that kind of abouse? This is my DD so I'm not willing to find out...

My idea is to run only 6 psi for every day use (hopefully around 160whp) and then have a secondary more agressive tune for 10psi using Meth injection (200-220 whp)

220whp should be enough for me to mess around with stock imprezas and evo's...
Would you image the face of the WRX guy when he sees a Yaris taking him on the highway

Turbo kits are overrated!!! Don't get me wrong... there is nothing wrong with a bolt on kit... but usually most of the kits are not complete... so you still have to do some custom work yourself... and the kits that actually come complete... will cost a fortune!

You can piece out a kit for around $2K and have your car running for about $2.5K to $3K and I mean with quality parts and a management. You just need to be patient and look for the part carefully.

FYI a log style mani for the xD can be had for around $300

P.S. decided to go turbo...
