Was just wondering if anyone has hardwired a Dash Cam into their xD?
Which fuses did you use a fuse tap on?

One has to be an accessory and one has to be constant power.

Personally, I would wire it to clock circuit. Shorter cable-run.
Clock as constant-ON and key-ON wires.
Voltmeter would tell you which is which.

 

The xD's interior fuse box has a lot of spare/unused circuits.
I looked for an unused circuit that was "constant" hot and used an "add a fuse tap adapter/double fuse" style.

 

I was having a lot of issues with these cables from China. 3 of them they sent me didn't work correctly. (Viofo brand) I ended up finding this obd 2 connection kit and it has worked great ever since. Be aware that not all OBD II kits will work correctly if you want to use parking mode. Some of the other ones either
would either just supply constant power and not shut off after an hour like I set it on the dash cam or they would just turn off completely after a couple minutes of turning the car off. This one works perfectly but you may have to try a couple to see which one will work with your dash cam. I have the Viofo Pro Dual.
