hmm ... its my understanding the seatbelt beeps are unchangeable. They were a feature that could be disabled at first, then you had to make it work, then it couldn't be done. This was on the tC, I'm assuming the xD's use the same system.
as for the beeps ... personally, I like them. I always wanted an audible alert and that little beep is perfect. I think if we search and dig enough, we can find where it's been changed on the last run of xA's. I seem to recall a similar post there.

They can be disabled for driver only, passenger only, or both driver & passenger, but you have to take it to your Scion dealer to have it done with the Toyota Techstream. All the available features you can change are in your owners manual such as 2-button unlock, lock/unlock beeper, key in ignition beeper (slow, medium, fast), interior light fade timing (7s, 15s, 30s), etc...
The beeper is built into the cluster and if you disconnect that, then you disconnect the e-brake warning, headlamps on warning and if equipped with VSC, the skid warning. Not to mention ruining something within the cluster making it completely useless. Best just to have the dealer disable it with the techstream.
disconnecting a speaker will not disable your dash... wtf. disconnecting the harness to the dash will, but finding the speaker & clipping either cable attached to it will only cut the circuit to the speaker.
Why not do the software fix though so you aren't disabling the other functionality, such as head lamps which is useful. I think cutting it seems pretty stupid when you can probably get them to do it for free at the time of purchase.

well everyone, just went to the dealer today, they were able to disable the locking/unlocking beep, but they said the seat belt warning beep was a safety thing, and they can't/won't disable it.
they didn't charge me anything for service, but now i just have to figure out how to do the seat belt warning beep.

The seatbelt beep isn't annoying when it beeps b/c someone doesn't have their seatbelt on, it just reminds me to yell at my passenger to buckle up. It is however annoying when I have something in the passenger seat and it will randomly set off the beeping while I'm driving.
Anyone had any luck getting the dealer to disable just the passenger alarm? If it's even possible.

i went to the dealer today, and a friend of mine who works there disabled the unlocking/locking beeps, seat belt warning for passenger and myself (you have the option), he also changed my interior lighting time from 7.5 sec to 15. The man at the front desk said they usually charge a small fee but because the mechanic was my friend, it would be free. Not sure if he was just trying to make my buddy look good or not, it only took 20 minutes, how much could they charge? Also, my friend did not hesitate to turn off the seatbelt warnings, but i can see how someone else may not want to do it because it is a safety issue. They controlled all of these settings through a small laptop they called their Techstream (hooks up just below the left side of the dash, near the automatic air pressure reset button) , it also looked at my engines vitals, and ran diagnostics. Pretty cool little device. There were also other setting that could be changed, like pressing unlock once could unlock all doors, instead of twice which is the default. Hope this helps some one, and Good luck!
